MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the St. James African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church is to love God more and help meet the needs of our brothers and sisters at home and abroad. Loving God with every fiber of our being and loving neighbors as ourselves.

Expressed in this statement that as a Church we should represent the cross. That is having an affirmative relationship with God vertically and an affirmative relationship with humanity horizontally. Reaching up, reaching out, and reaching you.

Therefore, we love God and are willing to walk in His commandments, loyal to Him and His kingdom on earth and in Heaven.

We also share in the mission of His Son Jesus Christ, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent to me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at library them that are bruised. "St. Luke 4:18 KJV

We live out this mission by Worshipping and praising God to the fullest, walking in His will and His way, telling the story of his redeeming Grace to a lost world. Inviting persons to entrust their lives to Jesus Christ and by serving as ambassadors of God. This we do in the name that is above every name "Jesus the Christ".
